Maine Conference Regional Championship and advance
to the 2011 State Championship where the Clippers
will defend their title against Bucksport (11-0).

seemingly unstoppable force that is the Yarmouth
High football team took another step toward perfection
in the Western Class C semifinals Friday night.
Anders
Overhaug and Caleb Uhl each scored two touchdowns
to lead the top-ranked Clippers to a 38-0 victory

for winning the 2011 JV Harvest Bowl.

Pirates will advance to the State Championship
game vs Five Towns Football on Saturday, October

- Yarmouth 45, Oak Hill 6. Yarmouth
football coach Jim Hartman likes to use all his
options as often as he can. The top-seeded Clippers
shared the load Friday night among four running
backs -- seniors Anders Overhaug and Bart Gallagher,
junior Caleb Uhl and sophomore Matt Woodbury --
and also showed their athleticism on special teams
as they beat No. 8 Oak Hill 45-6 in a Western Class
C quarterfinal.

- Yarmouth 50, Freeport 6. Caleb
Uhl and Anders Overhaug scored three touchdowns
each as Yarmouth (8-0) downed the Falcons (5-3)
to claim the trophy in the third annual Battle of
the Bay at Freeport. Nose tackle Ben Weinrich of
Yarmouth was named the game MVP after compiling
a team-leading 15 tackles with one sack. Overhaug
finished with 236 yards on eight carries and Uhl
handled the ball three times for 117 yards. Outside
linebacker Matt Woodbury of Yarmouth had 12 tackles
and two fumble recoveries. View

- Yarmouth 47, Telstar 6. Senior
Dennis Irving carried 10 times for 115 yards and
a touchdown in his first game as a running back
to lead the Clippers (7-0) over Telstar (0-7) at
Yarmouth.
The Clippers had nine players carry the ball. Matt
Woodbury ran for 96 yards on 15 carries and scored
twice. Caleb Uhl also scored twice, and Bart Gallagher
and Brady Neujahr had one touchdown each. Yarmouth,
which led 41-6 at halftime, got second-half interceptions
from Tommy Lord and John Beatty, who returned his
for 38 yards. |

rushing as the Clippers (4-0) cruised past the Hawks
(0-4) at Yarmouth. Dennis Erving contributed two
touchdowns on 97 yards rushing, Brady Neujahr threw
a 29-yard touchdown pass to Caleb Uhl and Bart Gallagher
returned an interception 40 yards for a score. |
